NFL Alumni Donate Caps to the Youth

NFL Alumni Invest In Youth

NFL alumni are increasingly investing in youth football programs, bringing their experience and passion for the game to the next generation. Their focus is on protecting developing athletes, ensuring our youth can play confidently and safely. These investments go beyond equipment. They’re about education, awareness, and fostering a culture of safety from the start. By giving back in this way, former players are helping shape a stronger, smarter, and safer future for youth football.

Saints Program

The Saints General Manager, Mickey Loomis, stated that he would match the number of Caps for any player/staff member who would like to donate them to a high school. A few players that have donated from the Saints program are Dennis Allen, Erik McCoy, Cam Jordan, Tyrann Mathieu, D’Marco Jackson, Nephi Sewell, Derek Carr, and more Saints staff.

Drew Brees

It is something that has really been embraced. All of the kids love them, can’t tell a difference as they are going about practice. Certainly is something that gives them an extra level of safety and less exposure.

Tate Ratledge

We are proud to partner with Tate Ratledge, All-SEC linemen for Georgia Football, and Classic City Collective to help give back to the community! Tate took this opportunity to donate Guardian Caps to his old high school coach, now coaching at Calhoun High School. Proud of Tate for making a difference in his community and better protecting athletes!

Alec Anderson

Alec Anderson teamed up with Guardian Caps to give back to the community by donating Caps to Etiwanda High School.

Will Lutz

Will Lutz, kicker for the Denver Broncos and Northgate alumnus, donated 125 Guardian Caps to Northgate Touchdown Club! The Touchdown Club was very thankful for the generous Donation. Safety is a priority for us at Northgate, and he helped with that tremendously!

Peyton Manning

A voicemail from NFL legend Peyton Manning. Inspired by Guardian Sports’ mission, Manning reached out to purchase Guardian Caps for his youth football team, calling it “the right thing to do” and highlighting the growing awareness of athlete safety at all levels of play.

Troy Palamalu, Jerome Bettis, Alan Faneca, Dan Orlovsky, David Pollack, Phillip Rivers, Matt Hasselbeck, Matt Wilhelm, Tyrann Mathieu, and Shea McClelin also donated Guardian Caps to local youth or high school programs.
