Guardian Caps x Legend2Legacy

Atlanta, GA – [ July 1, 2025] – Guardian Sports, the creators of the Guardian Cap, are proud to announce an official safety partnership with the Legend2Legacy Foundation Inc. for the inaugural Game of the Americas All-American Bowl Week.
Taking place December 26–31, 2025, on the campus of the University of Louisiana Monroe, the Game of the Americas All-American Bowl Week will host over 400 student-athletes in grades 2–8 from across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The week-long event will feature showcase-style competitions, skill clinics, academic enrichment courses and holistic development workshops — all designed to support both on-field performance and off-field growth.
“At Guardian, our mission has always been to protect the athlete while supporting their growth on and off the field. Partnering with Legend2Legacy allows us to extend that mission — combining our focus on safety with their commitment to shaping future leaders through the game. Together, we’re not just protecting players — we’re fostering their potential, their purpose, and their legacy.”
Through this partnership, Guardian Sports and Legend2Legacy are working together to prioritize player safety by mandating Guardian Caps for the Game of the Americas. Thanks to Legend2Legacy’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, participating athletes will receive exclusive discounted pricing on Guardian Caps, ensuring that cost does not become a barrier to critical head protection.
“While I’ll always advocate for groundbreaking technology, Guardian Cap’s innovation complements ANY helmet by adding critical external padding to reduce impact force by up to 33%. For families who’ve invested in their preferred helmet but want extra protection, this is a no-compromise solution.”
About Guardian Caps
Reshaping the landscape of contact sports, the Guardian Cap is the first product of its kind, designed to reduce head impacts, redirect rotational forces and address the clear need to advance the standard helmet.
Since 2020, the usage of Guardian Caps has progressed, with the add-on becoming mandatory for all positions except quarterbacks, punters, and kickers in all NFL contact practices. In 2024, the NFL began permitting Guardian Caps in games.
The revolutionary product has reached over 500,000 athletes nationwide, spanning from youth leagues to the NFL, and has since been developed to accommodate hockey and lacrosse helmets.
Guardian Caps are worn by 500+ colleges, 5000+ high schools, 1000+ youth programs, and are mandated by all 32 NFL Teams, and all 9 CFL Teams.
Guardian Caps’ ongoing contribution to player safety is backed by the NFL’s Medical Director, Dr. Allen Sills, who continues to publicly support the change as “progress, not just policy.”

About Guardian Sports
Headquartered in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, Guardian Sports was created with one goal in mind – innovating equipment to better serve athletes. Founders Erin and Lee Hanson’s 25+ years of experience owning and operating a material science and technology company, The Hanson Group, enabled them to create the Guardian Cap. Guardian Sports later developed PEARL lacrosse balls, LOOP soft-shell headbands and Guardian Infill, as well as new technology, including a first-of-its-kind safety chinstrap.
