Gwinnett County Purchases Caps and LOOPs
Gwinnett County Public Schools purchased Guardian Caps and LOOPs for every football and flag football player in the county to provide better protection from daily hits.
Over 4,500 pieces of protective equipment were purchased and are now in the hands of the schools and the players. 175 Guardian and 50 LOOPs were purchased for each school.

“The well-being of our students is our top priority, and by investing in these Guardian Caps, we are taking an important step in protecting them and ensuring they can continue participating in the sport they love safely,” said Jason Holcombe the GCPS Director of Athletics.

“Since [the NFL] mandated it, [they] have seen a reduction in 52% of their concussions,” Crawford said.

GCPS Invests in Football Safety with Guardian Caps
The school district announced Tuesday that Guardian Caps and Guardian/Xenith Loop — manufactured by Guardian Sports in Peachtree Corners — had been purchased for every football and flag football player in the county to provide protection from daily hits.
