We’re back again with another week of football matchups!

We are officially in week 7 of college football and things are beginning to get interesting. As we head down the stretch of the season, we highlighted a few of our favorite matchups between teams utilizing Guardian Caps in practice.

Georgia vs. Kentucky

The #11 Kentucky Wildcats will head to Athens, GA this weekend to take on the #1 Georgia Bulldogs. The SEC East matchup will feature two of the premier defenses in the country. Each team has allowed less than 18 points per game, which could indicate a low scoring game.

Georgia has had its fair share of injuries this year and will be missing several starters. It is unclear whether QB JT Daniels will be able to play.

Be on the lookout for Kentucky’s Chris Rodriguez (RB). Rodriguez leads the SEC in rushing yards and has been a dominate force for the Wildcats. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 pm!

Michigan State vs. Indiana

Michigan State and Indiana will square off in Bloomington, IN on Saturday. Michigan State has had a hot 6-0 start to the season and will be looking for revenge after last year’s 24-0 loss to Indiana. Payton Thorne (QB) has been an offensive standout for the Spartans and is 2^nd in The Big 10 in quarterback efficiency rating.

The Hoosiers have one of the most difficult schedules in the country this year. Indiana is 2-3 with losses to Iowa, Cincinnati, and Penn State. However, the Hoosiers are coming off a bye week and should be ready to go for Saturday’s game.

Oklahoma vs. TCU

Oklahoma is coming off an exciting come back win against the Texas Longhorns in the Red River Showdown. The Sooners battled back from a 28-7 deficit to secure the victory. It’s uncertain who will line up at quarterback on Saturday, but the Sooner offense is averaging over 41 points per game.

TCU is 3-2 on the season, with a win over Texas Tech last week. Be on the lookout for 5-star running back Zach Evans. Evans is averaging almost 8 yds per carry but is listed as questionable for Saturdays game. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30pm ET in Norman, Oklahoma.
