Guardian Sports provided 500 LOOP protective headbands for athletes competing in the Alabama Girls Flag Football Tournament presented by the Atlanta Falcons.

Girls flag football has continued its rapid growth in Alabama, and Guardian Sports and the RCX Foundation came together in Dothan to make athlete protection part of the experience.

Guardian Sports partnered with RCX Foundation for the Alabama Girls Flag Football Tournament presented by the Atlanta Falcons, held September 18–19 in Dothan, Alabama. As part of the partnership, Guardian provided 500 Guardian LOOP protective headbands, giving every athlete participating in the tournament an added layer of protection on the field. 

Supporting the Growth of Girls Flag Football 

Flag football is a non-tackle sport, but incidental contact and impacts can still occur. Guardian developed LOOP as a soft-shell protective headband designed to help reduce the impact of incidental hits while providing a lightweight, breathable fit for non-helmeted athletes.

The Dothan tournament brought together hundreds of girls flag football players and marked a homecoming for RCX Foundation CEO Izell Reese, a Dothan native who returned to support the tournament and its athletes.

Team USA’s Tyler Davis Joined Guardian in Dothan

TD’s presence gave young athletes the opportunity to connect with a player competing at one of the highest levels of the sport while reinforcing Guardian and RCX Foundation’s shared commitment to supporting the next generation of flag football athletes.

The Dothan tournament was part of a broader partnership between Guardian Sports and the RCX Foundation focused on supporting youth and flag football athletes.

Beyond the 500 LOOPs provided for the event, RCX Foundation teams received access to special Guardian team pricing, with 10% of eligible orders supporting the RCX Foundation.

Together, Guardian Sports and RCX Foundation brought another layer of protection to hundreds of athletes while supporting the continued growth of girls flag football.
