Tyler “TD” Davis Named First-Ever Guardian LOOP Signature Athlete

We’re proud to announce our partnership with Gold medal winner Tyler “TD” Davis as he becomes our first-ever Guardian LOOP Signature Athlete. The former NFL player and current flag football competitor among the league’s top performers is working alongside us as an advocate for player protection in flag football, promoting long-term health.

TD said, “I’m excited to join Guardian Sports as their debut LOOP Signature Athlete. As a professional flag football player and someone who has been on the field for over a decade, I know that athlete safety should be treated as a top priority.”

Meet TD

Hailing from the NFL legacy of TD’s father, Clarence Davis, former Oakland Raiders running back, TD also built his own multi-league successful sports career as a former NFL player for the Miami Dolphins and a CFL player for the BC Lions, with diverse player range covering positions from wide receiver, running back, and defensive back.

TD transitioned from tackle to flag football through local leagues in Austin, Texas, earning national attention after standout performances at elite tournaments. That momentum led him to Team USA coaches in 2024, and he’s since become a current Team USA member with a projected spot on the 2028 Olympic roster.

A Champion’s Stand for Better Protection

As flag football’s popularity, and its Olympic future, continues to grow, the conversation around player safety is only getting louder.

For TD, this partnership is about leading by example, and there’s no better moment to do it. Fresh off helping Team USA capture a sixth straight world title at the 2026 IFAF Flag Football World Championships in Düsseldorf, scoring three touchdowns in the gold-medal win over Italy, Davis is speaking from the height of his sport, not the sidelines of it. Having spent over a decade on the field, he’s seen firsthand how much protective gear matters, and his message to youth athletes still hesitant about wearing head protection is simple: “Health is wealth.”

“Being able to play a sport and play it safe — being able to go out and play with confidence, not scared to make a play.”

TD on what the LOOP does for him

Why LOOP

TD has worn the LOOP since 2024 for its fit and durability on the field that keeps up with his fast-pace play.

The LOOP flag football headband is engineered to reduce the impact of incidental contact, and is the highest-ranked, most affordable flag football headband with a 5-STAR rating by Virginia Tech testing. Its standout feature is the occipital hinge fit system, which improves coverage around one of the head’s most vulnerable areas while keeping the low profile, breathable feel that flag athletes expect from their gear. It’s protection that doesn’t get in the way of performance.

“We’re thrilled to move forward in this next chapter, expanding LOOP’s leadership with the best in the industry. TD’s extensive experience and pacesetting future are a testament to the importance of sports safety.”
