The NFL NXT Model was designed for NFL athletes and college linemen. It has an additional layer of padding (green interior) to accommodate NFL speeds; this adds a few extra ounces that we do not recommend for youth/high school players, so NXT orders are available through a sales rep only. Perfect for high contact position groups. Augments existing helmets to make them pliable and able to more effectively manage energy, addressing the impact severity of blows for OL, DL, LB, TE, RB, FB, WR, DB. Available in Black, Red, Maroon, Light Silver/White, Vegas Gold, Navy Blue, Green, Orange and Royal Blue.

Timeline With The NFL:

In 2022, the NFL began mandating Guardian Caps for all 32 NFL teams through the first preseason game for all OL, DL, TEs, and LBs. The result? The Caps “exceeded expectations”
In 2023, the NFL expanded the use of Guardian Caps to include all preseason, regular season and post season practices. The position groups were expanded as well, adding RBs and FBs to the required players list.
In 2024, the NFL expanded the use of Guardian Caps with expanded use. They have added Receivers and Defensive Backs to the list of positions mandated to wear Caps which now include: OL, DL, LB, TE, RB, FB, WR, DB. The NFL said Guardian Caps “remain a substantial success and reduced concussions up to 52%” after the 2023 mandate.
