We are a rapidly growing yet nimble company who constantly seek to innovate, and we are looking for a Social Media Associate to help execute the sharing of our story through all marketing mediums. 

What you’ll do. 

Guardian Sports is seeking a talented and passionate Social Media Associate to join our dynamic team. As the Social Media Associate, you will be responsible for developing and executing our social media strategy, engaging with our audience, and promoting our sports content across various social media platforms. You will have the opportunity to shape the online presence of Guardian Sports, drive audience growth, and enhance brand recognition. 

  • Develop and implement an effective social media strategy to promote Guardian Sports content and engage the audience. 
  • Manage and maintain the company’s social media accounts on platforms such as Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, and others. 
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging and shareable content that aligns with our editorial goals and resonates with our target audience. 
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to improve content and strategy. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with influencers, sports personalities, and partner organizations for collaborations and promotional activities. 
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across social media platforms while upholding the company’s brand image and values. 
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, social media best practices, and emerging platforms to keep Guardian Sports at the forefront of digital media. 
  • Collaborate with the editorial and marketing teams to plan and execute campaigns, including live coverage of events, contests, and other initiatives. 
  • Utilize paid social advertising to extend reach and engagement, working within set budgets and goals. 

Tools you’ll work with. 

  • Project Management/Scheduling – Asana. 
  • Website/Webstore Management – WordPress, Shopify, Wix, and Amazon Seller Central. 
  • Email Marketing – Mailchimp. 
  • Social – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok & LinkedIn.  
  • Design – Adobe Suite, Canva, Renderforest 
  • Analytics – Excel 

Who you are. 

  • BA/BS degree in Business or Marketing related discipline. 
  • 1-3 years of experience in social media or similar role, preferably within the sports media industry. 
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail. 
  • A meticulous, detail-oriented person who is innately curious & a quick study. 
  • Passionate about sports, specifically football, lacrosse, and hockey. 
  • Proficient in social media management tools and analytics platforms. 
  • Ability to articulate & adjust messaging to align to our target audience. 
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously. 

What you’ve done. 

  • Demonstrated ability to grow a following through social media & SEO. 
  • Content Strategy & Execution. 
  • Social Media account management  
  • Email Marketing. 

Extra credit  

  • Experience interfacing with web development team. 
  • Basic working knowledge of PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Adobe Suite.
